border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udd2c Purpose &amp; Scope<\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Faculty Research Committee (FRC) functions as the regulatory body reporting to the Faculty Board.<br \/>It is responsible for recommending financial allocations for research activities of academic staff members<br \/>and ensuring effective governance of faculty research initiatives.<\/p><\/div><p><!-- Responsibilities --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\u2714 Responsibilities<\/h3><ul style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><li>Call for applications and recommend research allowances for academic staff members.<\/li><li>Monitor progress of research proposals submitted for research allowance funding.<\/li><li>Evaluate and select proposals for Faculty Research Grants.<\/li><li>Monitor progress of approved Faculty Research Grant projects.<\/li><li>Address any research-related matters directed by the Faculty Board.<\/li><li>Submit an annual summary report of activities to the Faculty Board.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><p><!-- Reporting --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udcc4 Reporting Authority<\/h3><p><strong>Faculty Board<\/strong><\/p><\/div><p><!-- Appointment --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udc65 Procedure of Appointment<\/h3><p>The Faculty Board shall invite applications from academic staff members and appoint the Chairperson<br \/>and members of the Faculty Research Committee (FRC) in accordance with the approved composition.<\/p><\/div><p><!-- Composition --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83c\udfdb Composition<\/h3><ul style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><li>An academic staff member (Senior Lecturer Grade I or above) as Chairperson.<\/li><li>Six (06) academic staff members with a strong interest in research, preferably representing all Departments.<\/li><li>The Dean of the Faculty as an ex-officio member.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><p><!-- Selection --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udcdd Selection of Members<\/h3><p>Members shall be appointed by the Faculty Board.<\/p><\/div><p><!-- Duration --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\u23f3 Duration of the Term<\/h3><p><strong>Three (03) years for all members.<\/strong><\/p><\/div><p><!-- Meetings --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udcc5 Meetings<\/h3><p>The Faculty Research Committee shall be chaired by the Chairperson and shall meet not fewer than<br \/><strong>six (06) times per year<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><p><!-- Documents --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udcc2 Storage of Documents<\/h3><ul style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><li>All records shall be maintained by the Convener for the respective term.<\/li><li>Proper handover shall be completed at the end of the term to the incoming Convener.<\/li><li>All records shall be securely stored at the Dean\u2019s Office under the supervision of the DR\/SAR\/AR.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><p><!-- SOP --><\/p><div style=\"margin-bottom: 25px;\"><h3 style=\"color: #0b3d91; border-left: 5px solid #0B3D91; padding-left: 12px;\">\ud83d\udcd1 Guidelines \/ SOPs<\/h3><p>FRC approvals and minutes shall be submitted to the Dean.
